and so it begins . . .

the season of graduations and grad parties.

we attended our schools' 16th annual graduation ceremony last evening. it was very nice and touching, as always. we had 12 graduates and 24 very proud and excited parents.

our school meets on fridays for classes and the rest of the teaching instruction is done at home and/or thru college courses taken for both high school & college credit. it's a sweet gig. i need to give a shout-out to one of the highlights of our school . . . our dynamite girls volleyball and boys soccer programs. both teams have made several appearances at the state finals and have brought home the title a few times. (go hearts!)

we also attended our first grad party celebration last evening. very sweet graduate (yay michelle) and i got to see some old friends. well, not old, but you know what i mean.

it was a good day. a day that brought back memories of our oldest daughter's graduation (class of 2007) and the anticipation of our youngest daughter's future graduation, class of 2011. i feel so blessed to live in a country where we have educational freedoms and choices, and feel truly grateful for the option of homeschooling. it has been an incredible blessing and journey for my family.

time is marching on. i just cannot believe how grown up i'm getting. ;)
